Cricket fans in Vancouver are getting ready for six days of fast-paced cricket, live music and entertainment as Canada Super 60 returns to BC Place from September 29 to October 4.
The second season of the tournament brings together international cricket stars, Canadian players and emerging domestic talent for 24 matches, while a packed entertainment schedule will give fans plenty to experience away from the field.
For cricket followers who regularly keep up with tournaments through platforms such as Cricketbet999 and Cricketbets999, Canada Super 60 offers another competition to follow this fall.
A Fast-Paced Cricket Format
One of the biggest attractions of Canada Super 60 is its T10 format.
Unlike traditional longer formats of cricket, each team gets only 10 overs, meaning there are just 60 legal deliveries available to score runs. A complete match is expected to take around 90 minutes.
That shorter format is particularly suited to spectators who may be watching cricket for the first time.
Instead of spending an entire day at a stadium, fans can watch a complete match in a relatively short period while also enjoying music, contests, fan activities and other entertainment at BC Place.
International Stars Join Canadian Talent
The tournament has attracted several well-known names from international cricket.
Players including Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Jonny Bairstow, Chris Lynn, Sam Billings, Chris Jordan and Mustafizur Rahman are part of the international roster.
They will play alongside Canadian national-team players and emerging domestic cricketers, creating an opportunity for local players to share the field with experienced international stars.
The six men’s franchises competing in Season 2 are:
- Brampton Blitz
- Mississauga Masters
- Montréal Royal Tigers
- Vancouver Anchors
- Toronto Sixers
- Whiterock Warriors
Canadian players such as Saad Bin Zafar, Kaleem Sana, Nicholas Kirton, Yuvraj Samra, Dilraj Deol and Ali Nadeem are also expected to feature during the tournament.
Saad Bin Zafar Brings International Experience
Canadian all-rounder Saad Bin Zafar is among the domestic players taking part.
Bin Zafar has represented Canada internationally since 2008 and captained the country during the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, when Canada made its first appearance at the tournament.
His participation adds experience to a competition that is also focused on creating opportunities for the next generation of Canadian cricketers.
The tournament’s Future Super Stars Program is another part of that development effort. This year, U19 trials were held across seven Canadian cities, attracting more than 400 registrations.
The program is intended to identify young players who could progress into the Canada Super 60 development pathway and potentially earn opportunities with league teams.
Women’s Competition Expands
The women’s competition is also returning for its second season and has expanded from two teams in 2025 to three teams in 2026.
The participating teams are:
- Toronto Sixers Women
- Vancouver Warriors
- Vancouver Anchors
Canadian all-rounder Amarpal Kaur will represent Toronto Sixers Women, while international players including Marizanne Kapp, Fatima Sana, Bess Heath and Indu Barma add further international experience to the competition.
The expansion of the women’s tournament is another notable part of Canada Super 60’s second season.
Six Days of Live Entertainment
Canada Super 60 isn’t being presented as cricket alone.
Each day at BC Place will feature a different entertainment act, giving spectators another reason to attend even if they are new to the sport.
September 29 — Josh Brar
Punjabi singer and songwriter Josh Brar will perform on the opening day of the tournament.
September 30 — Crash Adams
Toronto-based pop duo Crash Adams will bring its energetic live performance to BC Place.
October 1 — Anmol Magic
Vancouver magician and mentalist Anmol Magic will combine illusions, comedy, mind-reading and audience interaction.
October 2 — Tegi Pannu
Punjabi artist Tegi Pannu will perform in Vancouver following his appearance at the Breaking Borders Festival in Malta.
October 3 — Armaan Gill and Arnaaz Gill
Brothers Armaan Gill and Arnaaz Gill are scheduled to make their first live performance together as a duo.
October 4 — The PropheC
Indian-Canadian singer, songwriter and producer The PropheC will close the six-day event with a combination of Punjabi music, R&B and pop.
Cricket’s Growing Presence in Canada
The timing of Canada Super 60 comes as cricket continues to gain attention across North America.
Canada qualified for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after making its first appearance at the competition in 2024. Cricket is also scheduled to return to the Olympic Games at Los Angeles 2028.
For Canadian cricket, competitions such as Canada Super 60 provide another platform for domestic players to play in front of large crowds while sharing the spotlight with international stars.
The Future Super Stars Program also gives younger players a potential pathway from local cricket into a professional environment.
More Than Just a Cricket Tournament
Canada Super 60 is designed to combine cricket with music, culture and live entertainment.
The T10 format makes the matches relatively short and accessible, while the daily entertainment program gives fans something to look forward to between and around the cricket.
For experienced cricket followers, the tournament offers the chance to watch established international players compete in a fast format. For newcomers, it provides a simpler way to experience the sport without committing to a full day’s play.
With 24 matches, six men’s teams, an expanded women’s competition and a different entertainment act each day, BC Place will remain at the centre of the action throughout the six-day tournament.
